Story

I am Ahmed, a 4th-year medical student at the Islamic University in Gaza, carrying a big dream of becoming a doctor who can make a real difference in people’s lives. My journey in medical education has never been easy, but I chose this path out of deep conviction and a firm belief that serving humanity is the highest calling one can have. From day one, I committed myself to giving my utmost effort and to being worthy of the responsibility that this noble profession demands.

Throughout my journey, I have faced many challenges, not only academically but also financially and socially. Yet, I have never stepped back from my goal; instead, my determination to continue and succeed has only grown stronger. I have learned that hard work and discipline are the only ways to overcome difficulties, and I consistently strive to excel in my studies, develop my skills, and maintain a high academic standard befitting a medical student dedicated to serving his community.

Medical education requires extraordinary effort—it is not just theoretical study but a great responsibility demanding long hours, continuous focus, and high expenses, including tuition fees, living costs, books, and essential medical supplies. Living and studying in Gaza adds even greater challenges, as economic conditions directly affect the ability to continue education, making every step in this journey harder than the last.

Now, in my fourth year, I am at a crucial stage that requires even more effort, focus, and perseverance. I believe that what I learn today will translate into real service for people in the future, especially those who lack adequate healthcare. I also feel a deep responsibility toward my family, who have sacrificed so much for me, and I strive to ease their burden and give back at least a part of what they have done for me.

My request for support is not merely financial assistance—it is a request for a chance to continue. A chance to pursue my path without being forced to stop due to circumstances beyond my control. This support will allow me to cover tuition and essential educational expenses, enabling me to focus entirely on my studies without the constant worry about costs weighing on me and my family.
