Support My Dream: First Doctor in My Family
Story
I am a first-year medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza. I graduated from high school with an excellent GPA of 96.3%.
I come from Gaza, where the ongoing crisis has deeply affected my life. Our home was completely destroyed, along with all our belongings, and we now live in a tent under extremely difficult conditions. Despite these challenges, I remain determined to continue my education and achieve my dream.
My family has a limited income, and the economic situation in Gaza makes it very difficult to afford essential study needs such as books, printing, and stationery, which are often expensive or unavailable. Additionally, transportation costs create another obstacle in reaching the university.
During the war, I witnessed the immense suffering in the healthcare sector, which strengthened my passion for medicine. I chose this field because I believe it is a humanitarian mission, and I want to help those in need and make a real difference in people’s lives.
After graduation, I aim to work in Gaza, serve my community, and contribute to improving the healthcare system. I aspire to become a highly skilled and compassionate doctor.
I am proud to be the first person in my family to pursue a medical career. With your support, I can continue my journey and turn this dream into reality.
